Local Homebuilder Dunmore Homes, In Business Since 1954, Is Sold

The Sacramento Bee reported this morning that local homebuilder, Dunmore Homes, which has sold almost 2000 homes locally since 2001 and has been in business since 1954 has been sold.

This after The Sacramento Business Journal reported on Friday (subscription required) that Dunmore had closed its sales office at its Monterey Village development in Elk Grove on the heels of the filing of more than $5 million in liens against it by contractors who had worked on its projects.

Dunmore has also cut its staff by 2/3 from 134 to 45 over the last year.
