Amazon Reports Blowout Quarter, But Was It Already Priced In?
Amazon (AMZN) just reported a monster quarter.
Revenues were up 41% from the year ago period to $3.26 billion, including 42% in North America – analysts were looking for $3.14 billion.
Net Income came in at 19 cents a share compared to 5 cents in the year ago period – analysts were looking for 18 cents.
Just a big quarter all around (3Q Earnings Release).
Shares, however, are off by more than $10, 10.4%, to $90.30 in the afterhours.
One has to wonder if all the good news wasn’t already priced into the shares, especially after today’s greater than 10% up move to close over $100 at $100.82.
